The Sun and Light – how do astronauts keep safe in the Sun resources

This series of activities focuses on the light that reaches us from the Sun. This affects us on the ground as well as the astronauts on the space station. Through hands-on investigations, pupils will learn more about how we can protect ourselves from UV radiation and how we use the full spectrum of light in different ways, for example to communicate (radio waves) and in medicine (X-Rays). The activities include a description of the seasons and scale of the solar system scale.
